Eligibilty
As per Elections BC rules, campaign contributions can only be made by eligible individuals and cannot be made by organizations or by any other person on someone else's behalf.
An eligible individual is:

a resident of British Columbia
-
a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
Contribution Limit
There is an annual campaign contribution limit. For 2026, it is $1,429.70. Eligible individuals can give a maximum of $1,429.70 to a candidate.
Disclosure
If you give $100 or more to a local elections candidate (e.g., for the 2026 General Elections), your name and contributribution amount will be published in the Financial Reports and Political Contributions System (FRPC). Campaign contributions to local elections candidates are not eligible for tax receipts.
