​I’m a White Rock resident and the proud parent of four graduates of Semiahmoo Secondary School. As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand the important role that education plays in creating opportunities for children.

I believe strongly that the strength of a community is measured by how well we support others, and that each of us has a responsibility to contribute. For that reason, I have volunteered for over 20 years on boards of non-profit organizations that serve our community. This governance experience has included the roles of Director, Vice-Chair, and Chair, where I have helped organizations strengthen governance, navigate complex decisions, and better serve their populations. I also co-founded an organization that rescued more than 200,000 pounds of fresh produce and distributed it to local food banks and community organizations, and I volunteer as a mentor guiding a young person through their educational journey. Those experiences have reinforced the importance of fiscal responsibility, accountability, strategic planning, and keeping the long-term interests of the clients at the centre of every decision.​

​My work experience includes senior leadership roles in public and private organizations focused on improving outcomes for people and organizations across Canada. I’ve consistently strengthened organizational performance, led complex initiatives, and earned a reputation for delivering results. Those experiences have reinforced the importance of sound judgment, evidence-informed decision-making, fiscal responsibility, and accountability. Presently, I am the Director of Health, Safety, and Well-Being within the BC government.

These experiences have shaped the approach I will bring to the school board.

Today, students are navigating growing pressures and increasingly complex learning needs. At the same time, schools are being asked to do more without funding and resources keeping pace. That makes strong advocacy, careful financial stewardship, and a relentless focus on what matters most for students more important than ever before. It is clear that my governance and leadership experience can make a meaningful contribution. I believe strongly that we all have a responsibility to take action and lead the change that we want to see. That’s why I’m running for School Trustee.
